Innovation Week at the Department

Innovation Week at the Department of Slavic Languages brought together literature, teaching practice and new technologies.

A highlight of the week was a lecture by literary scholar from Charles University David Vichnar on the life and work of Franz Kafka, offering fresh perspectives on Kafka’s work in a broader cultural and historical context.

The week also had a strong practical dimension. In a workshop led by Eva Blondeel, participants explored generative AI tools and discussed their meaningful integration into teaching.

Additional workshops focused on soft skills, including how to work with criticism and how to handle conflict situations in the workplace.

The programme also included a lecture organised by Jazykovědné sdružení České republiky, providing further opportunities for professional exchange.
