The Summer Academy of the Russian Language Teacher – Warsaw, Poland

From 29 June to 3 July 2026, Mgr. Petra Zlámaná, a member of the Department of Slavic Languages, participated in The Summer Academy of the Russian Language Teacher, organised by the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Warsaw. She was sent to the Academy by the Prague University of Economics and Business as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Training programme.

The five-day professional programme included 30 hours of lectures and practical workshops focused on teaching Russian as a foreign language. The participants explored current trends in language teaching methodology, new tools and materials for both face-to-face and distance learning, as well as issues related to teachers’ professional development.

An important part of the Academy was the exchange of experience with teachers from different countries. Mgr. Petra Zlámaná had the opportunity to share her own experience of teaching Russian as a foreign language, learn about different teaching approaches and gain new inspiration for her teaching practice.

Participation in the Summer Academy brought new methodological ideas, inspiration for teaching and valuable international contacts, which Mgr. Petra Zlámaná can further draw on in her work at the Department of Slavic Languages.
